Acrylic nails?

How do I convince my mom to let me get acrylic nails. Im 12 and am very crafty and active. but I really want them and i will pay for them myself! HelpAcrylic nails?
Well...you have lots of time...why don't you just grown them?





And I'll tell you of my one and only experience with acrylic nails.


My daughter talked me into trying them....she loves them.





Got them all on...they looked gorgeous, and about mid-way into the first week they started breaking....not at the end of the nail, but down in the middle...half-way up...and not just one but several of them. I was just in agony and didn't have a clue how to get them off as well.





I finally went to the store and found some acyrlic remover...which did work.....and at the same time I was there, ran into another person with exactly the same problem as mine....and both of us in a lot of pain.





I decided never again! ...and I think what occurred was they file down the top of the nail, before they adhire the new ones.....and I evidently have thin nails, so when they did that....they couldn't hold the ';weight'; of the acrylic ones and just broke off!





I now just grow them and try to take care of them. If you have a problem with yours growing, get some gellatin in your diet....will make them stronger.





As for your Mom...she probably knows that nice as they look, they are work to take care of...there are some problems that develop...like fungus under the nails, and like mine. So maybe you will try them eventually....but she might think you should be a little older first. Listen to your mom....maybe ask her ';when'; you can try them...at least once. You may or may not like them..and it costs to keep them up!Acrylic nails?
ask her just to get tips done when i got acrylic nails it left a crease in my nails and i had to wait for them to grow out..


did she already say no to them? if not ask her and if she really says no then ask her to go to the mall one day to hang out with friends and get them done their
DON'T , I JUST TOOK SOME OFF AND IT HURTS. BUT IT IS NOT LIKE THIS ALL THE TIME. YOU';LL HAVE TO GET THEM AND HIT YOUR NAIL ONE TIME AND FEEL THE PAIN. THEN SEE IF YOU WILL DO IT AGAIN.
well im 13 and i had my mom let me get them becuz i got diabetes (hopefully u dont) but my friend told her mom she bites her nails and wanted to break the habit. Or you could ask for that privlage on you 13th b-day, if its not far away, how could she say no on your b-day??
what u could do is tell her that you will do ur chores and you will clean ur room and to let u get them because summers almost over and at some schools dont let u wear them
i cant get them ither they ruin ur nail bed so just stick with the kind you glue on I use them n ppl think i got them done but really id never be able to my parents are to strict!
tell her all you want is to make your nails look good. and promise not to get ones that are TOO long and flashy.
