Okay i have two questions! :D
1. I just panted shoes with acrylic pant, (FMA shoes!) If i walk threw water or something or need to wash them, will the pant run or fade?
2. How can I make a pale skin color with the acylic pant?
Thank you sooooooooo much! you dont know how much I apriciate it!Acrylic pant on shoes?
1. The paint will most definitely run when it gets wet... It will also probably dry and crumble off after you wear it once or twice... I recommend you either go with a traditional fabric paint, or go to your local Michal's, Fabric Land, or craft store and ask about an acrylic fabric medium. You can mix it with regular acrylics and then apply it to fabrics, so it won't run or flake off. As advice, if you do go that way, DEFINITELY heat-set the paint after it's fully dry.
2. To make a pale flesh tone, you can use white, then add about a quarter of that as yellow, then just a tiny bit of red. You could also use a red-based brown colour (like raw umber) with white and a little yellow.Acrylic pant on shoes?
If you haven't used any kind of fabric bonder, yes. Absolutely it'll come right off. Acrylic fabric paint would've been a better choice or at least a medium you can mix with acrylic paint to make it bond to fabric better. A wise choice be to use some kind of sealant but I doubt it would help much.
If you're using acrylic, and the person does NOT have olive undertones to their skin, get a flesh tone from the art store (liquitex makes a good one) and you can lighten or darken it using tones of white, yellow, or red depending on the person's skin tone. If they DO have olive undertones you can still start with the above mentioned flesh tones but you'll have to add yellow ochre tones and white to get the right tone. Just saying 'pale skin color' isn't really enough information to be honest. My sister and I are both pale but I have a very pale olive and she has pinker tones so you could ask the same question for both tones but without specifying it's hard to tell for sure. (Sorry if that's too much information but it's the easiest way to describe what I mean)
What kind of a acrylic paint did you use? I do not like think paint will run (acrylic paint never runs off my hands when I wash it off), it will flake and crumble off. I would not recommend washing them ever again. Pale skin is easy, it's white, yellow, red, and a bit of brown. However, if you look at a person's face you realize that they will also have purple, green, orange, and blue tones within their face along with the yellow and red and brown.
1. yeah that will paint will run and fade if water comes in contact with the paint
2. well if you have tan acrylic paint than add a small amount of red (like a tiny tiny drop) and the most needed amount of white you need to get the color you desire.
word of advice if you want to draw on your shoes, used fabric paint... i know it may not be the same median but it will stay on a lot better (and sharpie works pretty well on leather)
What colour and why don't you paint both shoes and start a new trend lol
