Okay, well I really, really want acrylic nails, not the extremely long ones, but like, kinda short, I think you probably get what I mean. I want them because whenever my real nails grow, they break SUPER easily, and I want longer nails, that don't break. Anyway, my mom said I can't get them done in a nail salon, since I get my hair highlighted, and that already is a lot of money. I was thinking about trying to convince her to let me get a kit from a place like ';Sally's Beauty Supply'; and then either doing them myself (I'm a righty, but I can do my nails, like polish and stuff, pretty good with my left hand, so i`d probably be okay doing my right hand with the acrylic) or maybe having a friend help, but i`d most likely do it myself.
Have you ever done acrylis nails yourself?
How did it turn out/how do you think it would turn out?
Are acrylic or gel nails better?
How could I convince my mom to let me?
Sorry the question is so long!
Thanks in advance! =)Question about acrylic nails?
I get my nails done all the time but when i am broke i do them myself i buy the kiss kits from walmart they are no more than 8 to 15 dollars which in a lot cheaper than gettin them done. i and good at doin nail art also. it turns out jus like at the salon. gel nails are more damaging than acrylic b/c you have to file all of the gel off which can damage your nail bed. but they are more natrual lookin. tell her you would go half and half with her and maybe she will let you get them done or tell her you would pay for them yourselfQuestion about acrylic nails?
Yes, I have put on acrylic nails before. It is a little difficult, but possible, and depending on the nails you get, they can turn out looking just like the ones from the salon. I used a brand from target (I don't remember the name, but it had a hand holding a tennis ball on the front) and they weren't very good quality. The sizing was a bit odd, and they fell off really easily. Sally Beauty Supply would probably be a good place to buy some, as they specialize in beauty products. Just ask the store clerk which one they advise, and read the backs of all of them! When you apply them, make sure you use a sufficient amount of glue! Good luck!
i would not use them because they don't let your real nails get air making them yellow and not so good so you can buy this paint to put on your nails and i makes them stronger so hope this helps :)
cant help you on convincing your mom. but acrylic are no good. and they DO NOT AT ALL turn out good when you buy the kit. trust me i tried it. unless youre just really good at it. if you do finally get it done at a shop. get solar or 2 powder (pink and white) they will know what that is. gel nails are okay if you want to pay more. BUT if youre nails already break easily gel nails are no good. it is the toughest of all the others but really harsh on your nails.
