Acrylic Nails?

Can anyone give me general information about acrylic nails? Also, if anyone has had any experiences, good or bad, with acrylic nails, please let me know. I am considering getting some so please give me any info you have and also any advice. Thanks!Acrylic Nails?
i go and get my nails done with them occasionally and they're are alot of pros and cons

Pros: they're absoutly gorgeous, easy to use, stays for a few weeks, no worry of painting them, sophisticated

cons: expensive, get dirty easily, RUINS your nails for like a month after, hurts like a MF when u chip them

so they are beautiful but once they're taken off ur nails under are completely ruined and brittle, they take about a month to get strong and even grow and they're hard as heck to get off and the superglue to go away

idk if its worth itAcrylic Nails?
If you are just going to get them done for a special occasion or if you are really skeptical about the actual acrylic nail then I would suggest going to walmart or another dept store and getting the full nails that glue on. These are less harmful to your nails, dont hurt to take them off, and look just as good as the ones that you get from a nail shop. If you are going for more of a long term then go to a nail shop and ask to have the corners rounded but kept a little flat on top. This looks more realistic. When you do decide to remove them do it jut like the pros... soak them in pure acetone and they will come off really easily. But be carefull... they do hurt if you catch them on anything. Good luck!
Ok... acyrlic nails. In my bussiness lots of women have acrylics. Yes, they are pretty. They require a LOT of maintaining. Like ten little kids on your fingers. When they are taken off, it permannently damages the strength of your real nails. My opinon is not to get them.
When you get acrylics they glue a plastic nail to the tips of your fingernails to which they will cut to whatever length you like. They then 'paint' over the fingernail with an acrylic paste that hardens and becomes your 'nail' they then will file and smooth the acrylic nail and paint it or you can get airbrush done. I had them for quite some time and they generally look pretty nice. I would not recommend getting them unless you plan on making it a long term commitment because getting them removed is rather painful and it's a pain to take them off yourself or wait for them to fall off. Other cons are that the commitment to getting them done is time consuming and expensive and they damage your real nails. Otherwise they are fun to have.
DONT GET THEM

they look trashy and they are hard to do things with and when theycome off it hurts and i had some on 1 month ago and theres still osme stuff on my nails and there all thin now!!;(

DONT GET THEM

the best style for nails right now is short, rounded tip, with either light colors like nude,or dark rich colors like burgandy ect.
