save yourself the hassle..the kits are pretty cheap, maybe 10 bucks but the people in salons KNOW what theyre doing. i tried doing it myself thinking ';it cant be that hard'; but it is, they came out bumpy and horrible. people go to school for that stuff for a reason, leave it to them.Acrylic nails ... do it myself?
Honey don't do it. I've tried it and it doesn't come out nearly as good as it would if you go to a professional. It looks easy but it's not. And then when it doesn't turn out right you're stuck with trying to get the acrylic off and a professional won't do it for you once you've put them on yourself. It's worth paying the extra money to go see a professional. But if you still want to try it, Walmart sells them.
The ones you can buy in the store (like Cvs, Walgreens, etc) are pretty good, most people can't even tell the difference. They're cheap too, from $5-$10. with a whole bunch of nails so you can choose the nails that fit right.
My advice is to find a nail for each one of your fingers before you decide to put glue on them, so you don't end up choosing the wrong one. Once you've got that situated, put on LOTS of glue! I absolutely hate it when a nail falls off; but if it does, keep it handy and glue it back when you have time! Also, push your cuticles back a little when you put the nail in, make it looks more natural and ';done';.
Good luck :)
I wouldnt attempt it. The kit cost probably half or more of what a salon will charge you, and it will never come out as nice.
